Handloom Textile Fair Commences January 2
Visakhapatnam: The All India Handloom Textile Exhibition at Shilparamam, located near Madhurawada, is set to open on January 2 at 11 am, according to Shilparamam CEO V. Swamy Naidu.
Organized by the Andhra Pradesh Shilparamam Society, this exhibition aims to provide a direct marketplace for handloom textile artisans, eliminating middlemen and promoting the state's rich cultural heritage.
More than 100 artisans from various states across the country will showcase their handcrafted products at Shilparamam. The event will run for 15 days, from January 2 to January 16.
The exhibition is being held in partnership with the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Government of India, based in New Delhi.
The inauguration is expected to be graced by dignitaries including District In-Charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh, Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and YSRCP MLC Botcha Satyanarayana, as shared by Swamy Naidu.
